    Straight Outta Compton
    Kingsman: The Secret Service

  2. Here are mine:
    1. Inside Out (10/10)
    2. Beasts of No Nation (10/10)
    3. Spy (10/10)
    4. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (9/10)
    5. Kingsman: The Secret Service (9/10)
    6. The Revenant (9/10)
    7. In the Heart of the Sea (9/10)
    8. The Martian (9/10)
    9. Home (9/10)
    10. Star Wars: The Force Awakens (9/10)

Note that I may have missed a few major movies, as I am not a serious movie buff. They may have not been released to my area on DVD as well. In total, I watched 35 movies released in 2015.

  3. Frankly I feel "The Martian" was bit overhyped. I like it for what it is but you can't ignore that there is a bunch of downtime in the movie. If you are going for the "scientific" movies I thought that "Interstellar" was far more entertaining

  4. From a personal perspective, Star Wars: The Force Awakens was the best film of 2015 for me. However, from a film making point of view, I'd have to say that Mad Max: Fury Road was the best movie of the year.

  5. I just got done with watching the movie Spotlight and it could easily be the best movie of 2015! It shows up on all the great movies lists but just not at the top movie of the list. it is my favorite movie of the year of 2015! Watch it and you will be better for it.

  6. You have done a fantastic job of reviewing and rating the movies of 2015! I might not agree with your list but you did a really great job at why you liked the movies on your list. There are movies that I would never have thought to watch but you make such a compelling reason for them that I will certainly make a effort to watch them and watch some of the movies that I already seen again. Great job in keeping the reviews quick and consistent and interesting! The best part though might be the beginning of the video I guess that it either comes naturally or it took a lot of work. I have just hit the subscribe button and look forward to seeing your posts in the future.

  7. My top 10 movies of 2015

    1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
    2. Inside Out
    3. The Martian
    4. Mad Max: Fury Road
    5. Spotlight
    6. Creed
    7. Room
    8. The Revenant
    9. Straight Outta Compton
    10. Bridge Of Spies

Honorable Mentions: Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Ant-Man, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Black Mass, Spectre, The Good Dinosaur, Jurassic World, The Peanuts Movie, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Steve Jobs, Trumbo, Carol, Brooklyn, The Hateful Eight,The Big Short

  8. I'm sorry Jon but I have to disagree with your placement of The Martian. It was a great film no doubt and I love space movies too but it just lacked something for me. Maybe I have to re-watch it, but it just seemed like their was no emotional weight to the film; it was as if Watney was too optimistic or too relatable if that's even possible. By the time the film got to Watney's rescue I didn't feel anything unlike the emotional climaxes of Apollo 13, Gravity, or Interstellar where I was on the edge of my seat.

  9. 10. Bridge of Spies
    9. Mission Impossible
    8. Creed
    7. Kingsman
    6. Hateful 8
    5. Mad Max: Fury Road
    4. The Revenant
    3. The Martian
    2. Inside Out
    1. Star Wars
