  1. I read an article online which I am not sure it will work ! It said to poke the 10 fingers tips to let blood out & poke on the back of the ear too! Maybe it is the Chinese way, not sure though!

  2. I had a stroke and was given TPA within the first 30 minutes, but it did nothing because my stroke was caused by a carotid dissection (internal tear) that caused a totally occluded (plugged) artery (plugged by tissue not cholesterol). My stroke resulted in a 6-week hospitalization and permanent loss of use of my left arm and hand.

  3. I had two surabchnoid haemmorrage in1969/ ruptured aneurysms. I was 5. It is incredible to me, to see the progress that has been done/ Than kou forthe "researches" being done day by day.. David Barban

  4. Docs: My concern is the time between the stroke event and arrival at a tPA facility. I have advocated wetting the hair, and cooling the head with ice packs, to reduce inflammatory processes in the brain. It feels better to ME to be able to do SOMETHING, but does it help the victim?

  5. My mother is in Icu right now she started breathing herself in ventilator but hasn't gained consciousness. Her body is not working but her brain reports are okay.i'm far way from home.please let me know what are the chances of her gaining consciousness ?
