Halitosis, in simple terms known as bad breath, is an embarrassing problem faced by some people. Improper brushing techniques leave food particles in the mouth, resulting in bacteria buildup in the mouth, particularly between the teeth and tongue. This is what causes the bad breath. Poor dental hygiene, smoking, sinus or gum infection, and eating certain foods also can cause bad breadth.
Try these simple ways to eliminate bad breath.
In a cup of water, add two to three teaspoons of cinnamon powder, or dalchini as it is known.
Heat the water till the water boils.
Gently simmer, and then turn off the heat
When the water cools down, store it in a clean bottle.
This solution is a very effective mouthwash and should be used frequently.
If you were to ask elders on ways to get rid of bad breadth, they are likely to say one of the below.
Chew some saunf, that’s fennel seeds, or cardamom seeds or illachi, regularly
Parsley leaves are called nature’s own deodorizer, and chewing parsley leaves helps get rid of bad breadth.
Fenugreek seeds, or methi dhana, are also very effective when it comes to curing bad breath.
Take a cup of water and add a teaspoon of methi dhana to it.
Boil the solution.
Strain this solution and drink it.
The acid in lime prevents bacteria to build up.
In a glass of water, add 1 tsp of lime juice.
Put in a pinch of salt.
Use this as a mouth gargle a couple of times a day.
Take care of your pearlies to avoid bad breath. Brush your teeth at least twice a day, remember to floss, and don’t forget to visit the dentist regularly.
